Academic Support CenterThe Academic Support Center's mission is to provide a variety of academic support services for students to help them realize their desired educational and career goals. We strive to assist students in recognizing and building on their strengths as well as learning how to overcome or compensate for their weaknesses. Through developmental courses, peer tutoring, individual instruction, collaborative learning, and counseling, the ASC works with students at all academic levels, including those who are under-prepared or struggling academically to acquire the requisite skills to be successful in all areas of academics. The ASC program teaches students to be both critical and creative thinkers, to work cooperatively to achieve their goals, and to challenge themselves academically both in and out of the classroom. The ASC also provides academic support service to students with disabilities. Lastly, the ASC works closely with the faculty to help empower all students to be academically successful at Otterbein and to be contributing members of society. The Academic Support Center is located on the second floor of the Courtright Memorial Library. |
