Otterbein offers 7 undergraduate degree options with 56 majors and 37 minors, as well as 4 Master's degree programs. Through its liberal arts core, Otterbein is committed to educating the whole student and preparing students for successful careers upon graduation. We are located in Westerville, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus.


Otterbein junior, Jessica Hennig cashed in one of her many dreams during the summer of 2008 when she worked with Gluck Equine Research Center at the University of Kentucky. Hennig also landed the opportunity to give a presentation at an international equine science workshop of nearly 40 top leaders in the field.

In June 2007, construction began on a $20 million dollar project to renovate and expand Otterbein's current science facility.

New Equine Center Construction Underway Construction has begun on the $4.92 million Patrick and Jill McCuan Center for Equine Studies which will be the first of its kind, combining horses, stables, pastures and education in a suburban setting at 600 N. Spring Road. The Center is slated for completion in Spring 2009. Construction updates and photos.

U.S. News and World Report's best colleges badge Otterbein Ranks High in U.S. News & World Report
In the 2009 edition of U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges," Otterbein College earned the ninth highest peer assessment (academic reputation) score in the Universities-Master's (Midwest) category and earned the 15th highest overall score among its 140 peers. Full story.


 

Honor roll badge Otterbein Receives Presidential Award
Otterbein College was one of only three colleges and universities nationwide to receive the Presidential Award for General Community Service. Service learning and community service are a long valued tradition at Otterbein. Seventy percent of students engaged in community service activities in 2006 and 2007, with just over 50 percent giving time to efforts that served disadvantaged youth. Details.
