A liberal arts degree in science is an excellent preparation for admission to many health-related professional graduate schools. The pre-professional programs are designed to equip students with knowledge and skills needed for admission to graduate training schools, but they are also a broad education in their own right, are not part of any medical training, and do not lock the student into a health-related career.

Our Success Can Be Your Success
One way to judge an undergraduate pre-professional program is by the success of its graduates. At Otterbein, we have a placement record in health sciences that would be the envy of almost any school. Nationally, only about 30 percent of medical school applicants are accepted. We have an acceptance rate of about 80 percent. This number rises to almost all in the year following graduation. Our pre-dental, veterinary and optometry students are equally successful.
