Applying to Otterbein College

Why apply online?
There is no charge for submitting the domestic undergraduate application online!
You do not have to complete the application in one sitting. You can complete your application sections in any order, save your work and come back later - even from a different computer!
Your data is transferred securely over the internet and Otterbein will not share or sell your personal information to anyone outside the College
You can check your Activity Log at any time to see your application activity and to learn when we have acknowledged receipt of your application.

Applying for Fall 2008?
Please follow the directions below under "Ready to Get Started" (below) to apply online (fee waived), or print a paper application (Adobe Acrobat pdf file) and submit along with a $25 application fee.

Applying for Fall 2009?
Otterbein College will have a new online application process starting July 1, 2008. If you wish to apply for admission for Fall quarter of 2009 and beyond you may mail us a completed paper application (Adobe Acrobat pdf file) and apply now (fee will be waived), or you can apply with the new online process starting July 1, 2008 on our website.

Applying for International Admission?
For Fall 2008 admission, apply online or submit a paper application (Adobe Acrobat pdf file). The application fee for international students is $30 for both online and paper applications. For Fall 2009 admission, please submit a paper application (Adobe Acrobat pdf file).

 

Ready to get started? Just follow these 3 easy steps to apply online:

  1. Create your account.
    This is necessary so that you can complete your application in several sessions and check the status of it after you send it to us. Remember to write down your user name and password!
  2. Fill out the application.
    You can complete your application in any order and save your work and come back to it later - even from a different computer!
    • To save what you have done so far without exiting, click the 'Save this page' button.
    • To save what you have done so far and exit (you will be taken to your Activity Log), click the 'Finish Session' button.
    • To reaccess your application to continue work on it, return to the application menu, select the application, and enter your user name and password when prompted.

  3. Send your application
    Check your application carefully. When you are satisfied with it and are ready to send it to us, click 'Save/Send' at the bottom of the last page. Then you can go to your Activity Log to print a copy of your application or to learn if we have acknowledged receiving it. Please remember to close your browser program when you are ready to end your web session. This clears your password and secure connection.
  4. Mail us your additional information
    For domestic undergraduate applications, you will need to mail us an official copy of your high school transcript, including class rank and Ohio 9th grade Proficiency Test results (if applicable) and your official scores on either the ACT or SAT examination. International applicants will need to mail us materials described in the directions for the International Application for Admission. Mailing address is: Otterbein College, Office of Admission, One Otterbein College, Westerville, OH, U.S.A. 43081. These items must be received before your Application for Admission can be processed:
