Major at Otterbein: History

What have you been doing since your graduation from Otterbein?
Professionally, I have been substituting part-time in local schools. I plan to return in the fall of 2006 to finish my Music Education curriculum. I have also been hard at work getting my first book, An Actor's Nightmare, published. I finished the final editing of the book just after graduation, and I began the publishing process in the fall. Before I knew it I was published. It went on sale in November 2005 from BookSurge, Amazon's publisher. The whole process was exciting. I have been writing since early elementary school and it is gratifying to see my name in print. Now I spend my time marketing the book, as well as writing a sequel. And if I find the future Mrs. Dailey along the way, that certainly wouldn't hurt.

What interests and/or hobbies do you have?
I enjoy reading, writing, skiing, and am a movie/TV buff. I also try to maintain my web site, www.actorsnightmare.com. I really don't have much time for hobbies, except for writing.

What is a special Otterbein memory?
My favorite thing about Otterbein was band . . . marching band, wind ensemble, it didn't matter. From the first day at band camp my freshman year, I knew I would love Otterbein. I was lucky to have the greatest directors - Mr. Tirey, Dr. Boehm, Mr. Zilincik, Colonel Morgan. My special memory is from my senior year. My friend, Jenn Meister and I designed a drill in Colonel Morgan's marching band methods class for the Otterbein Marching Band. The band performed it during a halftime show! The most interesting class I took was Dr. McCormick's Modern Asia class . . . very informative and extremely interesting.
