Meet the Staff
Meg Barkhymer, Director Meg has been the director of the Career Center since 1986. An Otterbein graduate, she has Master’s degrees in both College Student Personnel and Counseling from Bowling Green State University. In addition to her primary interest in career counseling, she enjoys teaching and is currently the instructor of BADM 380, "Managing the Transition to the Workforce" and SYE 490 at Otterbein, and served as visiting professor at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata, Japan, in 2001 and 2006 where she taught a course titled “Men and Women at Work in Japan.” Her background includes work in college admission, academic advising, and research on student learning styles. She pursues her long-time interest in music as the co-concertmaster of the Westerville Symphony Orchestra and by playing in the orchestras for Otterbein musical theater and opera productions.
Audra Godfrey Audra joined the Otterbein College community in January 2008 as the Assistant Director of the Center for Career Planning. She is a dual graduate of Kent State University, where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Organizational Communication and a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel. After experiencing Corporate America, she decided that working with students and helping them succeed was her true calling. In higher education, her background includes academic advising, student activities, and career counseling. In her spare time, she enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and exploring new cultures. She comes from a very large family, and her door is always open to visitors and new ideas. Marilyn Williams, Administrative AssistantMwilliams@otterbein.edu When you come into the Career Center you will be welcomed by Marilyn’s friendly manner and gentle accent, results of growing up in Memphis, Tennessee. She came to Otterbein in 1986 and ever since has helped students find Career Center resources, scheduled appointments, coordinated the on-campus interviewing schedule, and helped students navigate through the influx of job and internship information that comes in daily. She brings work experience from the Better Business Bureau in Memphis, the School of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia, and Buckhorn, Inc. She loves to travel and is an enthusiastic spectator at college football and basketball games. |
