Otterbein Pride Shines at Homecoming 2009

Over 2,000 people attended the inauguration of Dr. Kathy A. Krendl as Otterbein's first woman president. Get the details of the day and watch her inaugural address here.
We traveled to beautiful Asheville, NC September 24-27 where we toured the Biltmore, enjoyed the mountains and saw beautiful art.
Cardinals Unite on the 4th of July
Cardinals gathered in Uptown Westerville in special honor of the Westerville Rotary Fourth of July Parade grand marshal, incoming Otterbein President Dr. Kathy Krendl. OC Pride and Country Pride were strong at the Cardinal Cheer area.

Presidents' Gallery
A highlight of the 2009 Alumni Weekend was the opening ceremony of the new Presidents' Gallery. Located on the 2nd floor of Towers Hall, the Presidents' Gallery chronicles the life and accomplishments of Otterbein's 19 presidents. The next time you are on campus, be sure to visit the Gallery.

Zero Year Reunion for the Class of 2009
On June 8 the seniors celebrated their entry into the alumni family after commencement rehearsal. Local alumni presented door prizes (provided by Otterbein departments and area merchants) and served up tasty eats for the happy soon-to-be-graduates.

WOBN 60th Celebration
60 years ago WOBN made its debut and radio has never been the same. Professors, advisors, alumni and students gathered to celebrate this anniversary during Homecoming.
Choir 150th Anniversary
150 years ago Westerville was founded, and so was the Otterbein Choir. The Otterbein Choir has graced the city with angelic melodies each and every year. Current and former choir members, and directors, met October 18th at Church of the Master for their 150th year celebration.
Class of 1983 Homecoming Reunion
25 years ago these grads marched across campus in their caps and gowns. On October 18 the Class of 1983 returned with their families to recall great OC memories and to make a few more.

Students, staff and friends were invited by the Columbus Blue Jackets to "star" in this season's video interludes at Nationwide Arena. In between a 'grueling taping schedule' there was definitely time for a little fun!

Otterbein alumni and friends journeyed north to Alaska and enjoyed all the beauty of America's last frontier.
June Bug Jamboree 2008
It will be hard to top the excitement of this year's June Bug! Partygoers experienced a thunderstorm microburst with winds topping 50-60 m.p.h., rain and hail. Numerous trees on the LeMay's property were felled during the storm, but no Cardinals were injured. Special thanks to Bill '48 & Helen '47 LeMay for opening up their home so the party could continue once the storm passed.
