MSN Program Admission

Applications for the MSN program are reviewed twice a year. See the table below for deadlines and entry dates.

Computer Requirements

Information Technology has a page on their site that shows the system configurations necessary to connect to the Otterbein network. MSN students need to have the configuration in the "Best" column. Go to this page.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit the following in order to be reviewed for full admission into the Graduate School:
  • An online graduate nursing application or a paper application.
  • Official transcripts for ALL previous college and/or university work. Please note: Transcripts must be sent directly to Graduate and Continuing Studies from the post-secondary institution or hand-delivered by student in an unopened envelope from the issuing institution. In both instances, the transcript should come in a letterhead envelope.
  • Your Ohio RN license number (be sure to enter it in the designated spot on the application form). The license number will be verified on the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) website and a copy of license verification will be added to file.
  • Two completed Recommendation Forms (preferably one from a nursing supervisor and one from faculty if you have been in school in the last 5 years).
  • 2-4 page essay (additional details on page 83 of the catalog).
  • Professional resume
