Dr. Keith Pepperell to be Featured in Upcoming Documentary Series

August 04, 2015

Dr. Keith Pepperell, who teaches history and philosophy, will appear as a historian in the upcoming American Heroes’ Channel television documentary, Clash of The Titans. American Heroes is an affiliate of Discovery and produces many engaging history documentaries. Clash of the Titans traces the meteoric rise of Andrew Carnegie and Henry Clay Frick in the steel and coke (coal product) producing industries in the late 19th century and highlights their eventual strife and conflict. Frick was an Otterbein student in 1866-1867 and, like Carnegie, became the present-day equivalent of a billionaire. Pepperell will also take part in other documentaries in the series including Kings of Copper, which is about the exploitation of the mineral that enabled tremendous progress in both U.S. commerce and construction. Pepperell previously appeared in a History Channel series called Surviving History.

The season premiere of American Titans featuring Pepperell will appear on American Heroes Channel at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Pepperell also is also featured in the episode, The Copper Kings, which premieres at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
