The Cardinal’s Nest

Located on the second floor of the Campus Center , The Cardinal’s Nest is the main dining facility on campus.  The Nest, served as “all-you-can-eat”, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner weekdays and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.  While offering a great deal of variety, the Cardinal’s Nest provides students with nutritional choices for every meal.  Highlights are comfort foods, exhibition cooking, salad bar, grill, deli and homemade soups and desserts.

1847 Room

Also located on the second floor of the Campus Center is the 1847 Room.  Faculty and staff are welcome to eat lunch in the 1847 Room.  Accommodations can be made for small groups, up to 12, who wish to reserve a table for a special meeting or event.  Reservations are limited due to space constraints, therefore we suggest reserving early.  The 1847 Room is open for lunch, weekdays from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Otter Bean Café

The Otterbean Café is located in the Courtright Memorial Library.  It features a Fair Trade™ coffee from Pura Vida, as well as offering a variety of flavored coffees; from a Triple Shot Espresso to the non-fat Mocha Latte.  A wide array of cold drinks, such as Bubble Teas, Chai Teas and the popular Frozen Explosions, are also available. 

A fresh selection of sandwiches, salads, snacks, and homemade desserts are packaged and ready to grab and go!  Vegetable pinwheels, veggie pitas and sushi are delicious choices for our vegetarian guests.

The Roost Express

The Roost Express is tucked away on the first floor of Roush Hall and provides another choice for the Otterbein community.  The Express provides a wonderful variety of breakfast items, including egg sandwiches, toasted bagels with an assortment of spreads, fresh fruit and our Fair Trade™ Pura Vida coffee brewed fresh throughout the day.

Numerous options for lunch are offered, including fresh Caesar salad, made right before your eyes.  Try topping your Caesar salad with grilled chicken for a heartier meal!  Also offered are made-to-order sandwiches, like tuna salad on croissant, hot grilled paninis, turkey club sandwiches, a variety of wraps, or just a plain grilled cheese.

A full line of bottled water, sodas, juices, canned energy drinks, convenience snacks, desserts and fruits are also available.
