Major:
Allied Health

Involved, dedicated, and independent, Jerrin Hill has made it a point to make a difference in as many areas as possible.
In addition to serving as a tutor, she has been involved with Student Senate, the Orientation Program, the Center for Teaching and Learning Advisory, and English as a Second Language. An aspiring Physician’s Assistant, Jerrin has taken advantage of the opportunity to shadow the Delaware County EMS and witness emergency response first hand.
Jerrin, who attributes the orientation program for helping her overcome some struggles in large groups of people, has also spent time volunteering at COSI and Minerva Park.
“There is something special about being able to give back to such a wonderful community,” Hill said. “They are all chances for us to give back to Columbus and meet many new friends.”
Jerrin is also planning upcoming trips to Uganda and Ecuador, where she plans to work in schools, take intensive language courses, and volunteer in healthcare.
“Coming to Otterbein has most definitely changed me as a person,” she said. “I grew up in a small town and went to a small high school, so I knew I didn’t want to attend a large University. Otterbein has provided the means to meet many important people.”
