Author and Entrepreneur to Speak at Otterbein Oct. 20

Author and Entrepreneur speaks to Otterbein Students and Community

The Graduate School at Otterbein University will present its Executive Guest Lecture Series featuring author Kunal Mehta on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Riley Auditorium at the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St.  Networking starts at 6 p.m. and the presentation at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Mehta, author of Disruptors, is a former investment banker, founder of Unfold and a strategy associate at charity: water.  He is also the founder of Mehta Apartments and Outpatient, a telemedical venture that will connect patients and physicians through a video-conferencing platform.

Mehta wrote Disruptors when he left his role in investment banking in search of more fulfilling work. For his book, Kunal spoke with the founders and key business leads of several game-changing companies such as Pinterest, Foursquare, Venture for America, FEED Projects, charity: water and Dwolla to reveal the early failures or heartbreaks entrepreneurs face. He has been invited to speak about his experiences and Disruptors at top universities across the country and has encouraged graduates to pursue work that inspires them rather than accepting roles that only offer a high-salary or status.

Register to attend the Executive Guest Lecture featuring Mehta online at www.otterbein.edu/execlecture.  Registration is limited to 200 people.
