Working with horses had always been Danielle's childhood dream. At Otterbein, realized her dream and so much more.
Though having never worked with horses, Danielle came to Otterbein as an Equine Pre-Veterinary/Pre-Graduate Studies major with hopes of participating in undergraduate research. She was met with support and encouragement from her professors, who encouraged her to double major in Molecular Biology to boost her research credentials and join Otterbein's equestrian team.
“Being on the team opened an entire new family for me that really helped with my transition into college," Danielle said. "I had never been around horses, but everyone was so helpful and supportive, and now, you would never know the difference.”
Danielle spent her free time working at the barn and as a teaching assistant in the biology labs. She wasalso a member of Otterbein’s Honors program
, the IHSA and Eventing teams
, Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Epsilon Delta and Otterbein’s Pre-Vet/Health Tech Club. She currently is a veterinary medicine student at one of the nation's top programs at Ohio State.
