Otterbein Financial Aid Boot Camp to cover financial aid landscape and process

Navigate the Financial Aid Process with Otterbein

Preparing to send a student to college can be a daunting task, emotionally and financially. In an effort to help navigate the financial aid process, Otterbein University will host a Financial Aid Bootcamp from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, in Roush Hall room 114, 27 S. Grove St. Westerville, OH.

RSVP online to attend the Bootcamp, or register for any upcoming financial aid presentations.

Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid Kirsten Crotte said this is an opportunity for parents and students to alleviate many concerns surrounding paying for school.

“We understand that finding and securing financial aid for a prospective student can be a major stressor for families,” Crotte said. “What we want to do at Otterbein is offer the community a way to learn about financial aid and become more comfortable with the entire process.”

Attendees will learn how Otterbein is committed to making an education accessible and affordable for incoming students, as well as have their questions answered about the financial aid process, key definitions and award levels and descriptions.

“These sessions will provide a more individualized approach to financial aid than just a pamphlet or email,” said Crotte. “We want everyone to leave the sessions feeling like they now can ‘speak the language’ of financial aid and feel empowered to take the next steps towards their education.”
