Plan-It Earth

Otterbein volunteers help the environment by planting flowers.
Otterbein volunteers help the environment by planting flowers.

Plan-It Earth takes an activist approach to addressing environmental issues and promoting awareness of issues facing our physical environment. Plan-It Earth plans activities that encourage and challenge Otterbein students to make steps to reduce, re-use, and recycle. This group also plans activities that give back to our earth, such as picking up litter, planning recycling projects and initiatives, and volunteering at Otterbein Lake.

Plan-It Earth meets on Mondays from 3:30 - 5 p.m. For more information or to volunteer, contact the CardinalCorps Leader Whitney Prose.

"Seeds of Sustaibability"
Plan-it Earth recently went to work on sustainability right here on Otterbein's campus by developing an herb garden on the porch of the Center for Community Engagement. The goal is for Bon Appetit, Otterbein's food service provider, to use these herbs in our food. The herbs are grown right here on campus and can be walked over on foot to the kitchen, thereby greatly reducing our environmental footprint. Come by the Mikesell House at 82 W. Main Street to see cilantro, three types of basil, and sage.
