Transient StudentsAre you currently enrolled at another home school and you want to attend Otterbein as a transient student? If this is your situation, contact the Office of Admissions at 614-823-1500 or email UOtterB@otterbein.edu.
Are you are currently enrolled at Otterbein and you want to attend
another school as a transient student?
When you meet the above requirements, these are the steps to arrange transient approval:
STEP 1: From the other school, obtain an application for admission and a schedule of Course Offerings This Year for the term you plan to attend. To approve credit from out of state schools, we will need catalog course descriptions.
STEP 2: Decide which course(s) at Otterbein you need. If you need assistance with this step, meet with your faculty adviser (Registrar personnel do not provide advising services). From the other school's Course Offerings This Year, identify the course you think is the equivalent.
STEP 3: Complete the Request for Transfer Credit Approval available on this site or at the Office of the Registrar. Except during June, the request will be processed within 1 week and, if approved, a Transfer Credit Approval Form will be issued to you (June requests are held until the last 2 weeks of the month and are then processed). Approval by our office guarantees that the course you take will be accepted for transfer to Otterbein providing a grade of C- or higher is earned.
STEP 4: Approvals will be mailed to you or you may pick them up in our office. When approval is received, complete the registration process at the other school.
