Financial Aid

Below is a listing of loans and scholarships available for graduate nursing students.

  • National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program: www.bphc.hrsa.gov/nhsc or 1-800-221-9393. Provides for the repayment of educational loans for NP students made in exchange for a commitment to work in a medically underserved area. Applications available for fall, deadlines approximately March. Need to be in last year of program.
  • National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program: www.bphc.hrsa.gov/nhsc or 1-800-638-0824. Applications available in fall, deadline usually in March. Provides scholarship and stipend for NP students, work in NHSC site for specified period of time after graduation.
  • Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. 555 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019. Provides scholarships for Registered Nurses for masters degree, ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. Criteria is academic excellence. Contact 1-212-399-1428 or www.n-e-f.org.
  • Kappa Lamba Scholarships: applications available in the Spring in the Nursing Office.
  • Mid-Ohio District Nurses Association Scholarship: call 614-486-8685.
  • Ohio Nurses Association: interest-free educational loans for members. Write to ONA, 4000 E. Main St., Columbus, OH 43213-2983.
  • Professional Nurse Traineeships: call Dr. Eda Mikolaj (614) 823-1614.
