We'd like to invite you to share your talent with us! The links at left will help you understand the process of auditioning or presenting your portfolio or writing sample to the departments of Art, Communication, Music, and Theatre & Dance at Otterbein. Each department coordinates the process a little differently, so read carefully and do not hesitate to call the Office of Admission at (800) 488-8144, or any of the individual departments if you have questions.

Your application for admission to the College should be sent to the Office of Admission prior to your visit for an audition or portfolio review. Admission to the College is on a rolling basis, which means the Office of Admission will accept your application and credentials (high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores) and notify you about your admission status as quickly as possible. We will begin evaluating applications for the fall of 2008 in October 2007.

See Applying to Otterbein for more information. The departments have individual acceptance dates to their majors.

Talent Awards from $8000 to $24,000 over four years are offered to selected incoming students who pursue majors in the Departments of Music, Communication, Theatre, or Art, or a minor in Dance. String Talent Awards of up to $36,000 over four years are available. Music Participation Awards are available for non-music majors by audition, and range from $4,000-$8,000 over four years; a limited number of string participation awards up to $18,000 over four years are also available. Talent and Participation Awards become part of a student's total financial aid package and each department has a set of guidelines that students must meet in order to keep the award.

Students who have been accepted to the College and who have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will receive a financial aid award from Otterbein College after Talent Award offers have been made. Your financial aid award would include your Talent Award as well as any other scholarships you have received and any need-based financial aid for which you have qualified. See Financial Aid for more information. Please call (888) OTTERBEIN or (800) 488-8144 with your specific financial aid questions.
