Van Sant Speaker Series Begins
Joanne Van Sant H'70, retired vice president and dean of students, continued her commitment to student development and education with the Dean Van Sant Leadership Speaker Series on Nov. 1. The lecture series, which is open to the entire Otterbein community, engages students in discussions and workshops about the importance of being a leader on-campus and as a community citizen.

Otterbein's Accreditation Continued, Selected as Model for Others
Otterbein College was recently informed that its 10-year review by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools has resulted in continuing accreditation for the College through 2015. Otterbein has held continuous accreditation since 1913. More.

Go Cards!
Congratulations to the Otterbein Women's Soccer team for reaching the NCAA Division III sectional semi-final this season. The Cardinals, who finished the regular season with 20-1-0, also set a new Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) record for most victories in a season.
In Other Sports News
Joe Loth '91, head coach of the Cardinal football team, was chosen by his peers to be the Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Full story.
The Cardinal football team finished the season with 7 wins-3 losses, scoring its best season since 1999.
Otterbein College was the High Point Champion at the November 5 IHSA horse show, beating out teams from Ohio, Michigan and Canada. Allison Applegett qualified for Regionals in the Novice Over Fences division to be held in April.
