What have you been doing since your graduation from Otterbein?

Joel Riley with Homecoming court members
Joel Riley served as Grand Marshall of the '06 Homecoming Parade.

Since graduation, I have mainly been pining for my old room in Garst Hall!  I have worked in radio since graduation and have been at 610 WTVN for almost 11 years.  I fell in love with a beautiful woman from Steubenville, got married and we have a 6-year old son.

What interest and/or hobbies do you have?
Golf is my main hobby.  I wish I was good enough to play on Otterbein’s team now!  Back when I played for dear old Otterbein I played for fun.  Now I have accomplished a 5 handicap.  I play most often play at my home course, Chapel Hill Golf Club.

What is a special Otterbein memory?
I know it’s a little Larry King’esque, but these are the highlights of my time at Otterbein: Cap/Otter marathon on WOBN all night, getting my diploma and Dr. DeVore simply saying, “Go get’em Joel”, winning the new student talent show first week on campus, donut runs to Schneider’s Bakery at 2:00 a.m., Dr. Gris, giving tours to prospective students and getting smiles/laughs from the parents, getting the foundation for my life.
