Aminda Banning Seymour '98

What have you been doing since your graduation from Otterbein? I graduated from Otterbein College in 1998 and entered nursing school at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the fall of that year. In 2001 I graduated from nursing school and immediately transitioned to the role of Emergency Room nurse at Mercy Franciscan Mt. Airy Hospital. This past Spring I left Mt. Airy to pursue the role of trauma/ER nurse at Bethesda North Hospital. I love my job and am thrilled to have a career that challenges and excites me. The education I received at Otterbein has been invaluable to my profession.

What interest and/or hobbies do you have?
My interests and hobbies include spending time with my husband of 5 years (Alex) and sons (Monroe—3 years old and Brant—1 ½ years.) I enjoy playing Texas Hold ‘Em with my friends and love baseball (GO REDS!!) I love to travel and I am involved with medical mission work internationally. I like reading, music, playing Nancy Drew mystery PC games, and watching CSI: Las Vegas and Without A Trace.

What is a special Otterbein memory?
I have 4 fantastic years of special Otterbein memories like Schneider’s doughnut runs, EKT sisterhood, spur-of-the-moment road trips to Cincinnati Reds games, Kings parties, spring break trips, midnight volleyball, and living in Davis Annex. (Just to name a few! J) But I wouldn’t have any of these special memories without the love and friendship of Brian and Liberty (Tipton) Huther, Trinity (Mahan) Walsh, and Tony and Megan (Trice) Eggleton. 11 years later and they are still my greatest friends!

God Bless You Otterbein.
