What have you been doing since your graduation from Otterbein?
After graduation, I worked in inside sales for two years and decided it was time to make a move in a different direction, and have been doing Project Management since that time, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I also became involved with The Junior League of Columbus, a women's volunteer organization, and chaired several of their large fundraisers, enabling the League to raise monies for their community service projects, which primarily focus on empowering children and women within the community. With encouragement from former Otterbein professors and my employer, I enrolled in Otterbein's MBA program the first quarter the MBA program began, September 1997, and graduated with my MBA in 2000. I have been consulting for the past four years with the consulting firm COMSYS, as a Senior Project Manager. This has been a very rewarding and exciting experience since I get to interact with different clients. It has also enabled me to manage and oversee multi-million dollar projects in various businesses and industries such as JP Morgan Chase, Qwest, and Victoria's Secret Direct. This also afforded me the ability to take time off between assignments the first year and a half after the birth of my daughter.

What interests and/or hobbies do you have?
First and foremost I love volunteering and giving back to the community. I was involved in several community organizations prior to the birth of my daughter. I have since slowed down to enjoy being a mother and spend time with my daughter and husband. I am a member of the Missions Team at Northwest United Methodist church where Pastor Bill Hunter, an Otterbein alum, is the minister. I also enjoy pilates, reading, writing, and traveling.

What is a special Otterbein memory?
I have several wonderful memories as an undergrad at Otterbein, but I would have to say being part of the first group of students to participate in the London Roehampton Exchange Program in 1992 was definitely a highlight and a memory I will always cherish. A few of us went a few weeks prior to classes starting; we were able to travel across England, Scotland, and Wales via rail and stayed in youth hostels. It was a wonderful experience and a great way to see the country. As an MBA student, interacting with professors I had as an undergrad and seeing the program grow from forty students to 150 by the time I graduated was very rewarding. My fondest memory, however, was participating in the Berlin and Prague trip, which was offered through the MBA program, and learning more about business development and history from a political, cultural, and current state perspective.
