Coaching Staff
Head Coach Nathanael Petry
Nathanael
Petry enters his second season as head golf coach at Otterbein College.
Petry, a 2004 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, served as an
assistant men’s golf coach at Otterbein for two years before taking over the
men’s program in 2006 and the women’s program in 2007. He is employed in turf
management at the New Albany Country Club in New Albany, Ohio.
Petry, a native of Uhrichsville, Ohio, earned four varsity letters in golf at
Mount Vernon Nazarene where he received his bachelor’s degree in business
management. He was a three-time all-conference performer in the American Mideast
Conference (AMC), finishing second twice in the AMC tournament. Petry played in
two National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics tournaments.
Petry and his wife, Jamie, live in Westerville.
Assistant Coach Eric Evans
Eric Evans begins his first season as an assistant
golf coach at Otterbein. In addition, Evans has spent three season as an
assistant coach on the Otterbein men’s basketball team.
A 2005 graduate of Otterbein, Evans received his
bachelor’s degree in history with certification for secondary social studies
education. As an undergraduate, he served four seasons as a student assistant
coach with the Otterbein men’s basketball team. Evans, in addition to coaching,
is working towards his master’s degree in education at Otterbein.
Eric and his wife, Julie, a 2005 graduate of
Otterbein, live in Dublin.
