The Otterbein College Integrative Studies Program and Enrichment Series will present A Concert of Classical and Folk Arab Music at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, in the Battelle Fine Arts Center's Riley Auditorium, 170 W. Park St., Westerville. This concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature music written for a variety of instruments, including the nay (reed-flute); buzuq (long-necked lute); 'ud (short-necked lute); and mijwiz (double-pipe wind instrument) and performed by Dr. Racy, an internationally acclaimed performer, composer, and scholar, and Souhail Kaspar, a master drummer known for his virtuosity and expertise on Arab rhythm.
