
OTTERBEIN COLLEGE HIRES MICHAEL BOEHM AS INTERIM IT DIRECTOR
Otterbein College has hired Michael Boehm, PMP, CCP, FLMI, as the interim director for information technology.
Boehm is a seasoned information technology and management consultant with a broad range of management and consulting experience within higher education institutions and Fortune 500 organizations.
"We were fortunate to identify an experience professional to provide leadership for our information technology unit while we search for a permanent director. We will benefit greatly from Michael's previous experience with Banner," said Kathy Krendl, president of Otterbein College.
He is a highly experienced information technology manager and certified project manager, with over 25 years of diversified experience in leading and delivering client support services, large-scale operations management, implementations, application design and development, data conversions, remediation and compliance testing, strategic planning and budgeting. He has over 40,000 career hours managing information technology projects, business projects, building PMO offices and establishing project management best practices.
Boehm has previously worked as SCT Banner implementation project manager and director of administrative computing at Lakeland Community College, technical lead for Oracle development and Banner interfaces at Oberlin College, senior project manager for enterprise service assets at National City Bank, project manager for information technology transition at National Health Insurance Carrier, site manger for Internet/Intranet environment at Nationwide Insurance Company, interim information technology director at Cohen & Company and senior client service executive at CAP Gemini America.
He earned his master's degree from the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School and from Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his bachelor's degree in management information systems from Southern Illinois University. he is also a Certified Project Manager through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Certified Computing Professional through the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP).
