Otterbein College Combined Choirs to Perform

The Otterbein College Department of Music will present a choral concert featuring Concert Choir, Camerata, Otterbein Singers, and Women's Chorale at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Concert Choir and Women's Chorale will perform most of the first half of the program, with Camerata joining Concert Choir on Gabriel Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine, accompanied by harpist Yan Ni. For the second half of the program, Concert Choir, Otterbein Singers and Camerata will join forces to perform Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms with percussion, harp, keyboards, and boy soprano soloist Joe Kingery, a 13-year old seventh grader at the Columbus Academy. The part for boy soprano in Chichester Psalms is a significant solo, requiring a young artist with a beautiful voice and strong musicianship. Kingery's appearance with Otterbein marks his third performance of Chichester Psalms in the Central Ohio area.
