Otterbein College strives to provide commuter students with the academic support, amenities, and co-curricular activities they desire in order to provide an environment conducive to student success.

Otterbein commuter students currently have several programs and amenities at their disposal to enrich their college experience:

  • An intimate functional lounge space that may be used for social networking, studying, and relaxing between classes.
  • Lockers are offered for students who would like to store their personal items safely in the lounge. Please supply your own lock.
  • A weekly e-mail listing campus events, happenings, job postings, and academic opportunities.
  • Weekly lunches on Wednesday where the Commuter Advisor will bring in snacks for the commuters to enjoy. Winter quarter lunches feature speakers from various offices on campus to help commuters connect to campus through such offices as The Office of Ethnic Diversity, International Student Programs, and our Chaplain's office.
  • Two newsletters per year to assist commuters in getting up to speed on important college news and information.
  • We also feature fun social events in the lounge such as our much ballyhooed "Gas Card Bingo" . . don't miss it!
Otterbein College prides itself on reaching out to all campus communities and we try to be sensitive to the special needs of the commuter population. We welcome all questions and comments and will do all in our power to make the commuter experience one our students will never forget.
