Otterbein offers adult students the flexibility to balance their academic programs with their personal and professional commitments. The options of day, evening and weekend course offerings allow students the opportunity to blend their education into a variety of schedules while enjoying the quality of our liberal arts program.
Course schedules for Autumn, Winter, and Spring are available
in May. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisor in April,
to develop a course schedule for the full year. Current students
may begin registering during the month of May. New student may register
June 1st.

Evening Classes
Otterbein understands that students need to fit their education into a variety of schedules. Therefore, the Office of Continuing Studies has developed its evening class times to accommodate these schedules. Our three-hour evening classes mix traditional teaching methods with learning-centered activities. You spend less time in class and more time outside of class doing research, reading, and learning the way you learn on the job.
Evening classes generally meet one or two nights per week. Classes
scheduled one night-per-week meet from 6:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and
may have a first assignment to be completed for the first night
of class. Students can check the "First
Assignments" web page for first assignments or a course
syllabus. Classes scheduled for two nights-per-week typically meet
for two hours each night. Weekend Classes
Weekend College at Otterbein offers you three class times which
meet for four hours (six weekends during the ten-week quarter) or
one class time which meets for three hours every Saturday for ten
weekends, plus a final exam period. Meeting less frequently and
for fewer contact hours than day and evening classes provides flexibility
for the adult student while maintaining our academic quality. Students
can check the "First
Assignments" web page for first assignments or a course
syllabus.
Students have the following options for Weekend College:

provide additional options in creating schedules that meet their
personal and professional goals for completing their degree. |
