Ride with Cardinal pride in Ohio. The new Otterbein logo license plates are available from the Ohio BMV Collegiate License Plate Program. When you renew your plates, ask for the Otterbein College plate. In addition to your renewal fees, an extra $35 will be charged for the Otterbein plate, $25 of which is given to the general Otterbein College scholarship fund. If you want to order prior to your renewal, contact your Ohio BMV location for an application form or order online.

Construction is nearing completion on the $4.92 million Patrick and Jill McCuan Center for Equine Studies. This facility will be the first of its kind, combining horses, stables, pastures and education in a suburban setting at 600 N. Spring Road. The Center is slated for completion in Spring 2009. Graduation is quickly approaching; Masters, June 13 and Bachelors, June 14. Senior Manny Brown was selected as the Class of 2009 commencement speaker. Eleven other students auditioned for the honor and you can read excerpts from those speeches here.

As President C. Brent DeVore prepares to retire from Otterbein College after 25 years of service, the college named a student residence hall in his honor. The residence hall formerly known as The Suites has been dubbed C. Brent DeVore Hall. Click here to see pictures of the dedication ceremony.

Otterbein's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is sponsoring a Kid's Night with athletic games and activities on Friday, May 29. The Kid's Night is open to any child, K-5, of the Westerville or Otterbein communities. The event will begin in the Clements Center. To register your children, please e-mail. Participation is limited to 75 kids, so register now! Include your child's name, address, age, grade in school, and t-shirt size. Also include the parent's name and phone number.
