Internship Opportunities Students pursuing the Legal Studies minor are able to receive course credit for a ten-week internship with a state legislative committee or state representative. Several options and assignments are possible and as a result an intern obtains an overall view of this branch of the legal profession. In the past, Otterbein interns have had the opportunity to contribute to the drafting of laws spoken before the legislative committee on behalf of bills. In addition to the above opportunities, internships are also available with public prosecutors and courts at the local, state, and national levels, as well as with several local law firms. Through the experience of an internship, Otterbein students are able to develop valuable research skills needed to practice and study law and enhance their chances of admission to law school. |
