Phi Sigma Iota Induction Ceremony
At this ceremony, the Department of Foreign Languages will recognize outstanding second- and third-quarter students of foreign languages and the local Phi chapter will induct Otterbein students (of junior standing) majoring or minoring in French, Spanish, German, or Foreign Language Education into Phi Sigma Iota, The International Foreign Language Honor Society.

German Expressionist Prints
Sept. 10-Oct. 12, Miller Gallery, 33 Collegeview, Westerville
Dr. Strawser invites students of German to join her at the Miller Gallery for an hour of viewing German Expressionist Prints now on show till October 12.  A reception and a gallery talk are scheduled for Friday, September 14, 5-7 p.m.  Please contact Dr. Strawser for further details.

French Art Exhibit, 3:00-5:00 p.m., Columbus Museum of Art
October 12,  Columbus Museum, 462 Broad St, Columbus, directions
The French faculty invites majors, minors, and students of elementary French to join them to see "In Monet's Garden: The Lure of Giverny" at the Columbus Museum of Art Sunday, Oct. 12, Friday, 3-5 p.m.  Students in elementary French may receive credit for the cultural component of the participation grade in elementary French.  Ask museum staff to sign or stamp an exhibition card to record your attendance.  Admission: $8 ticket + $1 fee.

World Folkcloric Activity: El día de los muertos
TBA Day, TBA p.m., Philomathean  room,  Towers
Prof. Sartori invites all students of foreign languages to come celebrate the Mexican Day of the Dead and hear folkloric ghost stories from around the world.  Students in elementary language course can receive credit for the cultural component of the participation grade in the appropriate language.
