Award of Credit
Dijon French Studies Program

Award of Credit
To receive credit, students are required to take the official examinations given by the Centre or the Otterbein's resident director. The possible amount of credit granted for the year is 30 quarter hours (15 quarter hours per term, i.e., fall and winter).  A three-week summer course (a minimum of 40 hours) is also possible for 5 quarter hours.
A grade point average for all work done is given according to examination scores and the evaluation of the resident director, but students from schools with pass/fail grading systems may have the option of having the grade point average recorded on the transcript or not.
The exact amount of French credit each student receives is determined by the chairperson of the Department of Foreign Languages at Otterbein College in consultation with the resident director of the program.
