Departmental Scholarships

The College and the Department of Foreign Languages award a number of scholarships for students majoring in French and/or Spanish:

The Giammarco Premio Endowed Award

For excellence in the study of foreign languages

The Hamilton Merit Award

for sophmore foreign-language students

The Gilbert E. Mills Award

for an outstanding senior in foreign language

The Dr. Elizabeth Doerschuk O'Bear Award

for outstanding full-time students of foreign languages

The Samuel & Ida Spencer Memorial Endowed Study-Abroad Award

for full-time students enrolled in Otterbein study-abroad programs

These awards recognize and celebrate academic excellence in the foreign languages at Otterbein.
