Equestrian Center
Our current facility, located approximately 5 miles north of the College, features
- A 25 stall barn
- 25 horses
- Indoor and outdoor arenas
- A cross country course
- A round pen
- Pastures and paddocks
Most laboratory or clinic sessions and all riding lessons are held at the facility.
New Facility Planned for 2008
At its May 2006 meeting, the Board of Trustees approved a plan to build a new facility for its Equine Science program. Construction for the nearly $4 million project, to be funded totally through private contributions, is intended to replace the buildings and pastures leased for many years in Galena, five miles north of Westerville. The new Equine Center will be 2 miles from campus on 111 acres of land owned by the College. It is scheduled to open in Spring 2009.
