The Department of Equine Science at Otterbein College provides an exciting educational experience for students pursuing careers as equine professionals. Our highly regarded academic program complements the hands-on skills that you will learn at our Equine Center.
At Otterbein, students learn by doing. They trim hooves, make their own horse shoes, foal out mares, give injections, and bandage legs, just to name a few of the skills taught here. Students attend local shows and trade fairs such as the Equine Affaire, veterinary seminars, Quarter Horse Congress, and Rolex.
