Work-Study
Federal Work-Study is a federally-funded program which provides on-campus or community service employment. Once enrolled and attending classes, students complete job application forms and arrange interviews with prospective employers. Jobs are posted by the Financial Aid Office in the Campus Center.
Students may work up to 20 hours a week while classes are in session. The amount listed on the award letter is the maximum that may be earned by the student. Students will be paid on the 10th of each month for actual hours worked during the previous month.
Non Federal Work-Study
Opportunities are available to students who do not qualify for the need-based Federal Work-Study program. Interested students must apply and be approved by the Financial Aid Office to be eligible to work. Students will be paid on the 10th of each month for actual hours worked during the previous month.
I-9 Forms Required
Completion of an I-9 Form is required by everyone who intends to work. The most common types of documentation needed include a valid drivers license and social security card or a passport.
Community Service
Otterbein has strong ties to the surrounding community. A number of the off- and on-campus positions allow students to assist the greater Westerville community.
