What's a plunge? It's when the Otterbein community teams up to work on service projects in our community.

The celebration will kick off on Saturday, April 24, at 9 a.m., with the Founders Day Spring Plunge. This community service event will send over 300 Otterbein students, faculty, staff and alumni into the community to volunteer in projects at over 20 sites. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Campus Center, 100 W. Home St., Westerville.

Otterbein's plunge partner sites include:

  • Furniture Bank of Central Ohio
  • Girl Scouts
  • Friendship Village
  • FACT: Friends of Alum Creek Tributaries
  • Holy Family Soup Kitchen

Volunteers will be assembling furniture for families in need, creating blankets for My Very Own Blanket, planting a flower garden for Assisted Living residents, planting trees in Casto Park and organizing a pantry.

You can print out this poster of the day's events.
