Student Thank You![]() The past four years I have dedicated my life to Otterbein, not only to my studies of history and education, but also to the life of the campus. While there are many moments from which I could chose, the proudest moment of my college career was receiving both The Charles W. Hayman Memorial Endowed Award (awarded by the Education Department) and the Lynn W. Turner Prize (awarded by the History and Political Science Department) at the 2006 Academic Honors Convocation. I am incredibly honored to be chosen, and honored to have the support of contributors who care about the achievements of Otterbein's students. I hope to continue to make them proud. As a graduating senior it is hard to say goodbye to Otterbein. As I start to interview for teaching positions, I have been greeted with a very tight job market. However, at each interview I am met with the same high regard for the educational preparation for which Otterbein is known. I realize how lucky I am to have attended Otterbein. Through contributions from donors, it has enabled me and others to receive an education that is noteworthy in the state of Ohio. I am so thankful for each contributor, because without them Otterbein wouldn't be what it is. - Kari Parker '06
