Watch the Science Building Renovation!

January 2008

In early January crews began demolition of key interior and exterior sections of Schear Hall. Large holes in the building have temporarily been covered with plywood to help shelter the workers from the elements outdoors.

The exterior walls are no longer present in the connector between McFadden Hall and Schear Hall. This is the area where the glass atrium will be featured. Currently, the steel stairwell is exposed to the outdoors. In addition, the parking lot entrance to Schear Hall on the west side of the building has been removed and the exterior walls have been replaced with plywood.

Throughout this process classes continue to be held in the newly renovated McFadden Hall. Additional updates will be posted monthly, so be sure to track the construction progress online.
