Watch the Science Building Renovation!

March 2008

Watch a short movie clip The interior of Schear Hall has been gutted and numerous exterior portions of the building have been removed. Demolition crews continue to recycle as much of the waste as possible to help keep this project "green friendly". Foundations are being poured so that crews can start constructing the new 30,000 sq. ft. addition to Schear Hall. This new glass addition will house new laboratories, project laboratories, offices, classrooms and also the large three story glass atrium. The eastbound lane of Main Street has been closed periodically to allow for large cranes to assist in the demolition process on the northern side of the building. Many of the exterior walls have been removed and plywood is temporarily in place to help secure the building.
