Week #5 (July 6-12, 2007)
McFadden Hall continues to dramatically change on a daily basis as the demolition crew removes floor and ceiling tiles and bricked up windows. This week environmental abatement is happening on the first floor. This process has already been completed on floors 2 through 4.

Currently 17 windows have been restored to their original size within McFadden Hall. Demolition crew members continue to work on this tedious task at the rate of approximately two windows per day. Within the next two or three weeks the new glass windows will arrive on campus for installation.

To date, 9 large construction dumpsters full of metal debris have been recycled. Recycling is just one of the many steps the crew is taking to keep this project environmentally friendly or "green".

In the coming weeks the construction crew will be working to raise the ceiling height within McFadden Hall by reconfiguring the duct work, piping and wiring once concealed by the ceiling tiles.
