Ways to Give

Gifts of Cash
Contribute to the Otterbein College Annual Fund online or by sending a check to Otterbein College, Office of Institutional Advancement, One Otterbein College, Westerville, OH 43081. Your gift is tax deductible if you itemize deductions on your federal income tax form. For more information on IRS regulations regarding a gift's deductibility please consult your financial advisor or IRS Publication 526 (pdf file of 2008 publication).

Gifts of Stock
A gift of securities offers a number of advantages to the donor. Transferring stock to Otterbein allows donors to contribute to the future success of the College while enjoying different benefits. Donations to Otterbein qualify as a charitable deduction to your income tax. There is no capital gains tax on the appreciated securities or mutual fund shares that you donate. Annual Fund
The Annual Fund supplements the difference between tuition revenue and the true cost of an Otterbein education. Learn more.

Planned Gifts
Otterbein welcomes the opportunity to work with you to remember the College in your future plans. A planned gift is one you arrange during your lifetime with the benefit to Otterbein deferred to a future date. Learn more.

Scholarships and Other Endowments
Endowments are permanent funds that benefit students in perpetuity. The earnings are disbursed annually for the purpose designated by the donor. Learn more.

Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts honor and remember a loved one, while also furthering the work of Otterbein College. Gifts to Otterbein College are a thoughtful way to remember loved ones.

For families who have chosen to request donations to the college in the name of their loved one, wording in the obituary such as this can suggest the option: "In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Otterbein College. Checks should be mailed to Otterbein College, Office of Institutional Advancement, One Otterbein College, Westerville, OH 43081."

Reunion Gifts
Many alumni choose to make special gifts to Otterbein during their Legacy years, the five years leading up to, and including, their 50th Reunion. All condtributions given to Otterbein College in the five years leading up to your 50th reunion will be counted collectively toward your Class Legacy gift. Student Gifts
If every student gave $5.00 it could provide over $14,000 for student scholarships.

Your gift of $5.00 coupled with 19 of your classmate's gifts allows Otterbein to purchase 20 evergreen trees.

If every senior gave $20.09, Otterbein could provide 17 new computers to current students.

Your $5.00 gift means we can count you as a donor which helps our ranking in the US News and World Report (We're currently 15th out of 140!)
