Otterbein College offers graduate degrees in three disciplines – business, education and nursing. We provide opportunities for the professional to enhance and enrich comprehensive knowledge through developing critical judgment, independent thinking, scholarly initiative, and the habit of disciplined inquiry.
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) began in 1993 and offers the baccalaureate nurse an opportunity to synthesize knowledge and develop skills for advanced nursing practice, teaching, management, and research. Students may major in Nursing Service Administration, Clinical Nurse Leader, Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner. Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner certificates are also available to students who already have an MSN degree and desire to practice as an advanced practice nurse.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) was added in 1997. The MBA is a multidisciplinary program with a global focus that furthers the mission of a liberal arts education, while providing the skills for lifelong learning necessary to provide value to the individual, the workplace and society. The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) and Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) began in 1989. The MAE degree majors are planned to serve the needs of certified/licensed teachers who desire to improve their knowledge and skills and perhaps seek additional licensure. The MAT degree program is designed to provide a graduate route to teacher licensure in Middle childhood Education for grades 4-9 for individuals who have earned a baccalaureate degree. Professional Development for Teachers is also offered and includes: Masters +, Reading and TESOL Endorsements, Professional Re-Licensure and Adding Licensure. Visit for additional information.
