*NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2011-2012*
OP2: Operation Physics is a course designed for teachers to assist in developing their understanding of physical science and to provide concrete ideas that they can take back to their classrooms to teach students in grades 4-9. Participants in this course receive free tuition and five semester hours of graduate credit through Otterbein University. In addition, participants receive valuable materials and supplies that allow for direct and immediate classroom implementation of many of the hands-on activities used in the course. Funding for this course is primarily provided by a grant from the Ohio Board of Regents’ Improving Teacher Quality Program. The Improving Teacher Quality Program, which is part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, distributes federal funds to support activities designed to increase student achievement by elevating teacher quality.
