Annette Boose

Annette has been in her current position as Academic Administrative Assistant at Otterbein since 1999. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Otterbein College with a B.A. in Life Science and Sinclair College with an A.A. in Liberal Arts.

In addition to her administrative duties in the department, Annette oversees the e-Portfolio program which was created to assist all HSS students in developing an electronic portfolio that enables them to showcase their academic accomplishments to a prospective employer. She also supervises use of HSS computer lab and assists the students with technology related issues.

She is active on campus as a member of the Otterbein College Staff Council Newsletter & Website Committee (webmaster), and serves on the HPE Departmental Professionalism Committee, and HPE Departmental Recognition Committee and past advisor for Theta Nu. She is also active in the Ohio Association for Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, serving as an advisor for students who present at the convention and also as the official convention photographer. She has also served as a photographer at various departmental and campus events.

Annette spends most of her spare time traveling (she has been to 44 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico and France), hiking, camping and canoeing with her husband Andrew. Besides travel, her hobbies (an eclectic assortment) include rock collecting, photography and reading mystery books. She loves animals and currently has a Bichon Frise, an assortment of Angora rabbits and a lovebird. Annette is a volunteer naturalist for the Metro Parks, active in the community in various education and maintanece projects for parks & recreation.  She also mentors 4-H and ARBA youth in raising rabbits.
