Greg Sullivan

Greg SullivanBeginning his Otterbein career as an adjunct in 2003, Dr. Sullivan was hired fulltime and promoted to assistant professor in 2004. A 1982 graduate of Brooklyn College (BA Economics), Dr. Sullivan's first employer was his alma mater as an assistant men's basketball coach. A player on the men's team when they were at the NCAA Division III level, he assisted the basketball and athletic program as they transitioned to Division I in 1983. He stayed on for two years before leaving for a career in finance.

Working for such firms as Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Prudential Securities, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Dr. Sullivan enjoyed a two decade career in commodity trading and finance. Towards the end of his finance career and with an eye on his next career, Sullivan enrolled in Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business where he earned his MBA (Sport Management) with highest honors, winning the Student Excellence Award. Despite being advised of his promotion to the Director's level at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, he decided to leave and further his education at The Ohio State University's College of Education where he was awarded the Alex and Betty Schoenbaum scholarship and graduated with a doctorate in Sport Management in 2005. In 2006, Dr. Sullivan was awarded the Otterbein Teacher of the Year Award for junior faculty. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for PeacePlayers International.

Dr. Sullivan is married (Sharon) and they have three sons (Chris, Kevin, and Brian). They reside in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
