Patti has been teaching at Otterbein since 1992. She has been active in writing grants to help develop collaborative projects with local school to enhance their health and physical education programs. She was recently honored in Ohio Magazine in their Excellence in Teaching edition.
Patti completed her Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education in 1984 at Muskingum College and her Master's Degree in Health and Sport Sciences in 1988 at Ohio University. She is a Certified Physical Best Instructor and conducts numerous trainings across the United States.
Patti is currently the Vice President for the Physical Education Division of the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (OAHPERD) and also serves as chairperson for the OAHPERD state convention.
Patti has received many grants at Otterbein including: Great Cities: Great Communities, Ohio Campus Compact K-16 Service Learning grants (3), State Farm Service-learning grant, Brain Injury Prevention and Safety grant, and Otterbein Faculty Development grants (3).
Patti and her partner Kim have one son, Mason.
