This site was created to house and consolidate information regarding Otterbein's implementation of Sungard Higher Education's BANNER software. The software will replace the current Alpha mainframe system and all of its core administrative systems, including Finance, Human Resources, Student, and Financial Aid. The new BANNER system will fully integrate those divisions, it is Internet-native, and runs on an Oracle database platform.

The project's official kickoff was Monday, October 16, 2006 in Roush Hall's Lower Gallery. This will be a three year project, that will impact every office, every student, and every administrator. The goal is to make the transition as painless as possible, and to incorporate the more modern technology of Banner into our campus.

The new system will include a portal and web services software that we do not currently have. This is our way to introduce the new look Otterbein will have when we are finished. OZone was selected as the official Otterbein project name.
