Computer
Requirements Here are system recommendations for
those needing to connect to the Otterbein network
from off-campus locations. Distance learning students
should meet the Better column configuration. The Best
column reflects a typical high powered machine and
will be more than adequate for four or five years
of academic use. |

Blackboard users. |

Activate
your network account. You should do this before
you do anything else. You can even do this before
you arrive on campus to purchase your student identification
card and parking decal. Important Note: Once you have
been accepted at Otterbein College, you need to schedule
a class. Once your class schedule is entered into
the system, then a program will run overnight and
create your network account. You will not have a network
account until you have scheduled a class or you have
been enrolled to take placement exams - that means
no access to webmail, Blackboard, etc... until this
happens! |

Parking
Otterbein College campus parking passes are available
for part-time students that will be on campus on a regular
basis for a fee. You can purchase a sticker at the Security
Office located in the Campus Center after placing an
order on-line. If you are a student at a distance learning
site, you will be given a temporary parking permit if
you are required to come to campus for class. Visitors
on campus park in visitor lots. |

Know Your User Names
and Passwords. There are five different computer
systems on campus and some of them use different User
