Work-at-Home
Rights
Some
of Otterbein's software licence agreements allow full-time
faculty and staff to install some software at home
free of charge. Here are the requirements:
- You must be a full-time employee of the college.
- The
software must be installed on your work computer.
- The
software you install at home must be the exact same
software (version and operating system) that you
have at work. You cannot, for example, have Dreamweaver for Windows on your work and request Dreamweaver for
the Mac for home. Nor can you have Adobe Acrobat
5 installed at work and request Adobe Acrobat 7 for
home.
- You
can only use the software for work related purposes;
you will be required to sign an statement agreeing
to these conditions.
- You
must de-install the software when your employment
with the college ends.
There are no exceptions to these requirements.
The following programs offer work-at-home rights:
- Any Adobe branded product
- Any Macromedia* branded product
- Microsoft Windows
Important Notice: Microsoft has changed its work-at-home licensing structure and we are no longer able to offer this service. We are hoping to establish a new program where you will be able to purchase Microsoft products directly at a reduced price.
* Macromedia is now owned by Adobe.
